Jason Maletic is a partner in our corporate transactions practice
Jason has extensive experience in corporate & commercial advisory, mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets, venture capital transactions, and banking and financial services. He has acted for and advised a range of different-sized organisations, from multi-national corporations to privately-held businesses. Jason also regularly advises clients in respect of Australia's corporate law obligations and financial services regulatory regime. His prior background as a senior corporate banker, coupled with his recent experience leading the compliance/regulatory affairs function alongside his role as company secretary for new Australian challenger bank, Judo Bank, provides a unique point of difference for his clients.
Jason is a key member of Ashurst's FinTech team and is experienced in all aspects of the investment process from transactions structuring and term sheet negotiation, due diligence, seed funding, security terms for Series A & Series B Preference Shares, warrants, convertible notes, employee share plans and eventually through to exit (trade sales, dual tracks and IPOs).
