Since opening in 1990, Ashurst's Tokyo office has gone from strength to strength, now practising law through Ashurst Horitsu Jimusho Gaikokuho Kyodo Jigyo.
Our office is formed by Japanese qualified lawyers (bengoshi) and registered foreign lawyers in Japan (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi) as a joint enterprise under Japanese law.
We have built a strong profile to become one of the leading international law firms in Japan and we act for many top Japanese and international corporations, financial institutions and multilateral agencies as well as government and semi-government entities. Our fully integrated team of lawyers has the ability to provide a seamless service and has an exceptional track record supporting clients on their inbound and outbound investments into and from Japan.
