    Ashurst is very pleased to welcome Paul Lingard, Miriam D'Souza and Jessica Davies to our partnership in Perth.

    Paul Lingard has extensive experience guiding multinational companies through complex issues in relation to their international operations across the mining, oil and gas and energy sectors, including structuring trading arrangements and infrastructure access. 

    Paul is recognised as a leading expert in the sector and is ranked across all major legal directories including Chambers, Legal 500 and Doyles Guide. Clients have commented that "Paul stands out for expertise across the energy and resources spectrum".

    Jessica Davies is an international energy & resources lawyer having practised in Australia, the US and UK. She has a broad range of experience across the entire project life cycle. She works across the mining, oil and gas, and renewables sectors, with a particular focus on early development, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, M&A, concessions and licensing, supply, transport and operational arrangements. She is qualified in Australia and is also admitted to the New York Bar as a US attorney.

    Jessica has a long association with AMPLA (the Australian Energy and Resources Lawyers Association), and was the inaugural winner of AMPLA's Excellence Award for an Australian lawyer demonstrating achievement and international expertise in energy and resources law.

    Miriam D'Souza has extensive experience advising on a wide range of major projects in the infrastructure, energy, mining, waste and water sectors. She advises both private sector and government clients on project structuring, project delivery and implementation and operational issues. Miriam is experienced in all project delivery models, including EPC, EPCM, PPPs, managing contractor and alliancing and has a depth of experience working closely with clients on operational issues. 

    Miriam has been an active member of the WA Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) since its inception in 2009 and is currently a member of the board of NAWIC. Miriam has been voted by peers as one of Australia's best lawyers in Government Practice and Construction/ Infrastructure Law in Best Lawyers Australia.

    The addition of Paul, Jessica and Miriam further solidifies our strong partnership team in Perth and follows the arrival of Chris Campbell, who specialises in front-end advice on large-scale infrastructure projects, in June this year. Chris' practice covers energy and resources, infrastructure and property development, including major transport and infrastructure projects, PPP funding arrangements, commercial, residential and retail developments, urban regeneration and mining, oil and gas projects.
