Ashurst advises lenders on £450M refinancing of Octopus Investments-owned solar portfolio

Global law firm Ashurst has advised a syndicate of eight lenders on the £450 million refinancing of a portfolio of 83 ground-mounted solar PV assets with approximately 580MW of capacity, owned and operated by Octopus Investments.

The transaction refinances the large-scale ROC-accredited UK solar portfolio, with the transaction attracting significant interest across the UK and European lender market.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Antony Skinner and included partner Lindsey Bouchara, senior associates Alice Rosenshaw and Olufemi Omosuyi, associates Charles Guo, Edgar Thornton, Oscar Jeremy, Lucinda Merrett and Elizabeth Hoyle.
