New competition counsel in Italy

    International law firm Ashurst today announces the appointment of Gabriele Accardo as competition and EU counsel in Milan.

    Gabriele specialises in competition law and IP-related matters, data protection and regulatory law. He has wide-ranging experience in EU, Italian and international antitrust merger control, cartel enforcement, vertical restraints and dominance in a range of sectors including food and beverage, FMCG, aviation, oil & gas, TMT, medical devices and consumer electronics. Based in Brussels for ten years, he has previously worked at two international law firms before moving back to Italy to join DANDRIA Studio Legale where he worked on several major national antitrust proceedings, including both merger and cartel cases. Since 2009, he has been a research fellow at the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum, the think-tank sponsored and run by Stanford Law School which addresses technology-related issues in law and policy affecting the global marketplace.
