Our 12 month graduate programme gives you the opportunity to work on real cases and transactions.
You will rotate through three different teams, gaining invaluable experience in multiple areas of commercial law, and at the end of the 12 months we'll work with you to decide which team to settle in.
Our Ashurst Activate Development Programme will help you develop your skills with tailored training sessions that complement your on-the-job training. You will also attend in-house Practical Legal Training to support your Admission, with study leave and admission fees paid for by Ashurst.
Most of our graduate roles are offered to people who have clerked with us, however we do occasionally recruit outside of clerkship programmes. These ad hoc opportunities will be advertised on our careers website.
What we can offer you
You'll have the chance to work on real cases and transactions which may include, attending court, liaising with clients, working on pro bono matters, attending CLE sessions, drafting documents, completing research, and more! You'll get a realistic understanding of what it's like to be an Ashurst lawyer in each team you rotate through.
At Ashurst, each graduate's journey is unique to them. You'll have an individually tailored plan of three rota-tions, typically a mixture of advisory, transactional and litigious teams. Our Partners and Early Careers Team work with you to identify the best fit with our teams.
You'll be empowered to develop your knowledge and skills through on the job experiences, learning from others and structured development opportunities. From attending career transitions programmes, to ongoing supervisor feedback and mentoring opportunities, to engaging in interesting work and projects, these are just a few of the many experience you'll get as an Ashurst Grad.
