The Private Equity Rising Stars list highlights the best of the up-and-coming talent within the U.K. and European legal industry.

David Carter, global co-head of private equity said: "We are delighted to see Sara recognised in this way, it is a wonderful acknowledgement of her hard work and dedication. Sara has taken a pivotal role in all the transactions in which she has been involved over the last two years. She has excellent technical skills in all areas of corporate law, both public and general, allied with the real ability to see the commercial drivers that influence the transaction from all sides. This recognition very much reflects the trust our clients place in us and the quality of the work that we do at Ashurst."

"It is an honour to be featured on this list of top up-and-coming lawyers across the UK and Europe and to celebrate the exceptional achievements of my fellow practitioners in what is a remarkably competitive market," Sara commented. "I have the privilege of working with a fantastic group of people, and feel that this recognition is a reflection of the strength of both the firm's private equity offering and our client base."

In the last year significant mandates Sara has advised on include, the £870 million cash and share acquisition of CareTech, acting for the private equity backed bidding consortium in one of the most significant public to private deals over the last two years, and the £7.3 billion takeover of Wm Morrison Supermarkets, one of the most highly publicised, closely followed transactions of 2021.
