Ashurst strengthens its Corporate / Restructuring and Projects & Energy Transition teams in Paris with the promotion of two counsel
Leading global law firm Ashurst announces the promotion, effective 3 November 2025, of two lawyers to counsel in Paris : Astrid Hubert-Benoist (Corporate / Restructuring) and Cédric Gamambaye Dionmou (Projects & Energy Transition).
Astrid Hubert-Benoist holds a University Diploma in Insolvency Law and a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Anglo-American Business Law from Université Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as a Master’s degree (Master 1) in International Business Law from the University of Helsinki. She has been admitted to the Paris Bar since 2017 and joined Ashurst in 2020.
Within the Corporate / Restructuring practice, Astrid advises on financial and industrial restructuring matters, primarily in the large-cap market, across a range of sectors. She advises investment funds, listed and unlisted companies, and financial institutions on both amicable and judicial context. Her practice also focuses on distressed M&A transactions thanks to a her dual expertise in corporate law and restructuring. Astrid has recently worked on major restructuring matters in France.
Cédric Gamambaye Dionmou holds a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Project Finance and Structured Finance from École des Ponts ParisTech/Paris 10 Nanterre, a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Financial Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and an LL.M. in International Financial Law from King’s College London. He has been admitted to the Paris Bar since 2015 and joined Ashurst in 2021.
Within the Projects & Energy Transition practice, Cédric primarily advises lenders, borrowers and sponsors on greenfield and brownfield projects domestically and internationally. His practice focuses on the development, financing, acquisition and refinancing of energy (renewable and/or conventional) and infrastructure projects, as well as on complex hybrid multi-tranche bank debt and/or capital markets financings, including ECA- and multilateral-backed sovereign financing transactions. At Ashurst, Cédric has advised on landmark, award-winning transactions across multiple jurisdictions, including across the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.
