Going beyond traditional trainee programmes, Pathway provides graduates joining and developing through Ashurst Advance a structured career path with a range of potential role and skills development opportunities, both within the rapidly growing Ashurst Advance team and into other areas of the firm, including both legal and business services. Within Ashurst Advance, the Pathway options include legal operations, legal project management, legal technology and legal process improvement.

Each of the options within the Pathway programme will have its own career development framework, with a number of the pathways providing scope for obtaining recognised professional qualifications. The range of opportunities within the programme will continue to grow and develop over time, as will the career development opportunities, as the programme continues to evolve.

Mike Polson, co-head of Ashurst Advance, commented:

"The launch of the Ashurst Advance Pathway Programme reflects the growing need for a wider range of roles and skills in the delivery of legal services to our clients. By offering graduates a wide range of alternative career development opportunities, including into a number of 'new law' roles, we ensure we attract and retain the best talent. Individuals are now empowered to take ownership of their development through a structured career path which provides opportunities for them to develop a highly varied and valuable skill-set and move into a diverse range of roles across Ashurst."

HR manager, national early careers programme, Carolyn O'Connor, added:

"This is a really exciting opportunity which allows graduates joining us through the Ashurst Advance team to clearly navigate their career progression within the firm. We are committed to supporting our staff in their development and helping them to move into the many new and emerging roles required to meet the changing needs of our clients."
