Ashurst expands securitisation expertise with senior partner hire in London

Global law firm Ashurst has appointed Tauhid Ijaz as a partner in the London global markets practice, in a further boost to the firm's securitisation offering.

Tauhid joins from Hogan Lovells, bringing over 20 years of experience in the securitisation market. Tauhid advises major banks, private equity firms, insurers and corporates on complex structured finance and securitisation transactions, including significant risk transfer, balance sheet management, consumer asset securitisations, and funding transactions for specialist funders. His extensive industry expertise spans financial services, private capital, insurance, real estate, infrastructure and energy, consumer finance, specialty finance, and debt capital markets. He also has extensive experience in debt portfolio sales and acquisitions, Solvency II driven transactions, and advising key participants such as arrangers, originators, and investors.
