Ashurst advises on Schroders Greencoat's acquisition financing of UK solar portfolio 

Global law firm Ashurst has advised NatWest in relation to a circa £80 million senior debt package to fund Schroders Greencoat LLP's acquisition of a UK-based solar photovoltaic portfolio from Metlen.

The financing comprises a 283MW operational portfolio made up of seven projects across England and Scotland, with Akareos Capital acting as debt adviser to Schroders Greencoat LLP.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Antony Skinner and included senior associates Alice Rosenshaw, Tom Rhys Jones and associate Abu-Bakr Samad. Partner Todd Wu and senior associate Katie Gallagher advised on real estate aspects.
