Ashurst advises Volac and its owners on sale of Volac Whey Nutrition to Arla Foods

    Global law firm Ashurst is advising Volac and its owners on the sale of Volac Whey Nutrition Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries to Arla Foods Ingredients Group P/S.

    Volac is a UK-based group that specialises in turning whey into ingredients for sports nutrition, with by-products being sold for food and animal nutrition. Central to Volac is its whey processing facility in Felinfach, Wales.

    Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the UK's CMA, which is expected later this year.

    The Ashurst team is being led by partner James Fletcher, supported by senior associates Hayley Gow and Jake Hadfield and associates Sylvia Lloyd-Morris and Matthew O'Regan.
