    Ashurst advises Sumitomo Corporation on its proposed Danish biogas/PtX/SAF joint venture with Skovgaard Energy

    Global law firm Ashurst has advised Sumitomo Corporation, one of the world's largest trading and investment companies, on its proposed acquisition of shares in a portfolio of companies from, and strategic joint venture with, Skovgaard Energy, a Danish renewable energy group currently developing the world’s first dynamic Power-to-X (PtX) plant.

    Subject to completion occurring, the intention is that Sumitomo Corporation and Skovgaard Energy will work together to develop biogas and PtX projects in Denmark.

    The Ashurst team was led by partner Quentin Robinson, supported by a core team comprising senior associate Lester Lim Kok, associate Jack Jones and trainees Jake Olszowski and Millie McElroy. Partner Duncan Liddell and senior associate Danica Barley advised on regulatory matters. The team also worked with Danish law firm Accura.
