Ashurst advises on one of UKs first battery energy storage projects operated by Japanese companies

    Ashurst has advised Fuyo General Lease Co.,Ltd. in relation to participation in the development and operation of two battery energy storage facilities in Cuxton, Kent and Tollgate, St Albans, England, which is one of the first battery energy storage projects which is operated by Japanese companies in the UK.

    Fuyo will become a shareholder of the operating company of the energy storage facilities with Nippon Koei and other partners.  

    The Ashurst team was led by corporate partner and the head of European Japanese practice at Ashurst, Hiroyuki Iwamura, supported by a senior associate Shingo Ito, both of whom are based in our London office.
