Rob Andersen is a senior associate in our dispute resolution practice
Rob advises government and commercial clients in relation to litigious and potentially litigious civil, public law and regulatory matters.
Rob has particular experience with common law and statutory liability issues and regularly advises clients on matters of those kinds. He has achieved successful outcomes for clients defending misfeasance in public office, negligence and trespass claims. He has also helped clients recover losses in contract and equity, including in a significant employee fraud matter.
Rob regularly advises on statutory interpretation issues and acts for clients in judicial and merits review proceedings.
Rob regularly appears as an advocate in the Federal Court, the ACT and NSW Supreme Courts and the AAT.
Rob is experienced in a range of alternative dispute resolution methods. He regularly represents clients in mediations and at settlement conferences and has advised on the drafting and use of dispute resolution clauses in commercial contracts.
