BROWSE ABOUT USHe advises and represents clients in domestic and cross-border disputes before state courts as well as in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. Richard focuses on complex mass litigation, ad hoc liability, post-M&A disputes and corporate litigation.
Richard studied law at the University of Marburg (Dr. iur.) and at New York University (LL.M.). 2012, he started his professional career as a judge at the Regional Court of Frankfurt. From May 2014 until the end of the year 2016, Richard was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe as a research assistant. In May 2016, he was further seconded to the Hessian Ministery of Justice. After more than six years as a member of the Hessian Judiciary, Richard joined the Advocacy.
He was admitted to the German bar in December 2018. Prior to joining Ashurst in 2022, Richard worked as a lawyer in the Mannheim office of a German law firm.
