Richard Bunting is a senior consultant in our employment practice
Richard advises and acts in labour relations and executive employment matters, expatriate employment issues, long term and other incentive schemes, post-employment restraints and superannuation. He works extensively in the management of executive employment law issues and in the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and similar transactions.
His industrial relations expertise includes strategic advising on collective labour issues, redundancy and outsourcing issues, change management, planning for major capital expenditure projects. Richard's wealth of experience enables him to assist clients' plans and manage their strategic projects with minimal interruption to their business.
Richard has depth of experience and broad knowledge of business needs across a wide spectrum of industries including both private and public sectors, finance and insurance, health care, resources, mining, oil, maritime, stevedoring, airlines, road transport, steel and manufacturing.
Richard spent two terms as a member of the Council of the Australian National Maritime Museum. He spent two decades serving on the Law Council of Australia's Industrial Law Committee, including five years as its chairman. Richard is also the author of the Australian chapter in Social Media Employment Law: An International Survey, Kluwer Law International, 2015.
