Rehana is a pre-eminent insurance adviser, highly regarded within the market and boasting over 30 years' experience. Co-head of our global insurance industry group, Rehana's roles acting for insurers, intermediaries and insureds give her unparalleled insight into the industry.
Rehana advises the general and life insurance industry on regulatory compliance, establishing Australian general and life insurance operations, reinsurance, distribution (including white labelling) and agency agreements, outsourcing and policy wording development and interpretation. She has acted on major share and asset sales, privatisations, IPOs and portfolio transfers for both life and general insurers. Rehana also advises clients on directors' & officers' insurance, cyber insurance and warranty and indemnity insurance.
Rehana advises government and corporates on insurances for infrastructure, construction and general corporate risks. She designs contractual insurance requirements; audits compliance with such requirements and assists with placing and negotiating insurance terms and developing alternative insurance solutions.
Rehana is a thought leader within the industry more generally, sitting on the national committee of the Australian Professional Indemnity Association and its Education Committee as well as on the Financial Sector Association Life Insurance Group. She is the NSW editor of the Insurance Law Bulletin, a co-editor of Wickens on Life Insurance and the author of the warranty and indemnity insurance chapter in Practical Law Australia.
