Michael specialises in the construction aspects of major infrastructure project procurement (including UK PFI/PPP projects), domestic and international EPC contracting and all other areas of non-contentious construction and engineering law, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector, including energy from waste, solar and on and offshore wind farm development.
His clients include the UK Government, funders, sponsors and contractors. In the last 24 months, Michael has advised on nationally significant infrastructure projects including the £4bn Thames Tideway Tunnel, the £16bn Hinkley Point C nuclear power project, the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon power project and the Mersey Gateway Bridge project.
