Jonathan Gordon is a partner in our financial regulation practice
Jonathan's practice is focused on the financial services sector, specialising in the area of corporate and financial services law with a focus on financial services and financial market regulation, structured financial products and corporate transactions in the financial services industry. He is head of Ashurst's global Financial Regulatory team.
He has advised on the regulation of financial services and markets both in Australia and overseas for many years, assisting clients to establish and acquire businesses, develop new products and to establish new markets and clearing facilities. He also advises clients who need to confront and address regulatory challenges, including where regulators take enforcement and disciplinary action.
Jonathan's offshore financial markets experience, coupled with his long-standing focus on the regulation of financial services in Australia, means he is well placed to advise offshore providers on the Australian marketplace and cross-border implications.
