David Sefton is a consultant in our dispute resolution practice
David has broad experience as a litigator with a particular focus on preventative law and legal risk management. Legal risk management is in essence the application of general risk management principles to the practice of law. David proactively assists corporations maximise the positive side of legal risk while preventing legal risks becoming liabilities.
David led a major research project by the firm which identified best practice behaviours and a framework for the practice of preventative law.
David joined the firm as partner in 1999 after being Managing Partner of a smaller Sydney boutique commercial and litigation firm. David was Insurance Group Manager Sydney and subsequently Team Leader of the Sydney Legal Risk Management Practice up until the end of 2006 when David retired as a partner and became a consultant to the firm.
