Danica Barley is a senior associate in our antitrust, regulatory and trade practice

Danica is admitted in both England & Wales and Ireland, she advises on all aspects of UK and EU competition law.

Danica’s practice spans merger control, foreign direct investment and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation in the context of large, complex cross‑border transactions, as well as antitrust / cartel investigations, and competition law compliance. She also advises on consumer protection matters and is a regular co‑author of the Expert Analysis chapter of the ICLG Consumer Protection Guide.

Danica acts for clients across a range of sectors, including financial services and energy & infrastructure. In the energy sector, she also advises on regulatory issues, including ownership unbundling and licence provisions.

Danica has experience advising on competition / regulatory investigations / market reviews by the UK Competition and Markets Authority, UK sectoral regulators (including Ofgem, the Financial Conduct Authority, and the Payment Systems Regulator), and the European Commission.
