Amanda provides practical and strategic advice on a wide range of employment, industrial relations and anti-discrimination issues to both private and public sector clients, including issues concerning the management of employee grievances, performance and disciplinary issues, enterprise bargaining and the application of the transfer of business provisions under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
Amanda has particular expertise in relation to wage compliance issues, including advising on the proper construction of particular terms of industrial instruments, providing practical advice on managing the interface between legal issues and practical data-related issues during remuneration review projects, advising on and supporting clients in their engagement with regulators such as the Fair Work Ombudsman, and providing strategic advice about potential enforcement action by regulators.
Amanda also assists clients in conducting and defending complex employment-related litigation, including before the High Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Fair Work Commission and various tribunals and commissions both at the State and Federal level.
