Ashurst further strengthens digital economy bench with IP partner

    Global law firm Ashurst has appointed IP expert Sunny Kumar as a partner in the London corporate practice, in another boost to its Digital Economy team.

    Sunny is a senior IP lawyer, with significant experience advising on IP matters across the financial services, technology, life sciences and media sectors, in particular working on complex IP rich transactions and managing large trade mark portfolios. Notably, he has worked in-house within the BBC's IP transactions team. He joins as UK head of IP.

    Sunny's hire follows that of Alexander Duisberg, who joined as a partner in the Digital Economy team in Munich in February.
