Cyber readiness review & simulation - Tier 1 Bank
We undertook a structured review of the bank's existing crisis management and cyber incident response frameworks, conducting stakeholder interviews with members of the crisis management team and key functions across the organisation. Drawing on our experience supporting leadership teams through significant cyber incidents, we assessed the bank's readiness across key domains including business continuity, stakeholder communications, data privacy and breach response, regulatory engagement, and governance. We developed a bespoke cyber readiness maturity model to benchmark the bank's capabilities and identify priority areas for improvement. We then designed and facilitated a simulation exercise for the executive and board-level crisis management teams, testing decision-making under pressure, information management, and cross-functional coordination in a realistic high-impact cyber crisis scenario.
The engagement provided the bank with a clear, evidence-based view of its cyber readiness maturity and a prioritised roadmap for uplift. The maturity model gave the board and executive team greater visibility over gaps, dependencies, and points of failure across the organisation's response capability.
The simulation deepened leadership understanding of the unique challenges posed by a significant cyber incident and strengthened alignment on roles, responsibilities, and decision
