Critical infrastructure sector resilience - Industry Owned Governance Body

Abstract digital painting of a cityscape featuring vibrant orange and blue lines used in critical infrastructure sector resilience case study.

The governing body of an Australian critical infrastructure sector engaged us to help deliver a cross-sector exercise testing and strengthening the industry's collective readiness for a large-scale, multi-organisation cyber event.

    Our solution

We supported the end-to-end planning, design and delivery of the industry exercise over a period lasting several months. Working through cross-sector planning meetings, we provided input to exercise design, including the development of objectives and a realistic scenario. We then led the facilitation of the half-day exercise for over 40 participants, bringing together representatives from industry, government and regulators, and technology and service providers. Following the exercise, we contributed to post-exercise reporting, including both a protected version for participants and a public-facing version for broader distribution.

    Client outcome

Our client successfully delivered against one of its strategic priorities to build sector resilience through cyber preparedness. The exercise provided participants with practical insights into how different organisations navigate decision-making during a cyber incident, and the broader participant group described the experience as "eye opening", "impressive" and "a powerful reference point for how different organisations make decisions during an incident".
