Entry requirements

To qualify, you should be on track to achieve a 2.1 in your undergraduate degree.

If you haven't met this criteria and there are mitigating circumstances, there will be an opportunity for you to provide us with this information on your application.  
 

Application process 

Online application form

Showcase your talent by sharing why you want to be a lawyer and why you want to join Ashurst. By providing concise responses to our online application, you can share your insights into the legal industry and more details about yourself.

Online assessments

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an invitation within seven days to complete three psychometric assessments.

1. Cognify – will require you to complete a series of online games measuring your problem solving and analytical skills.
2. Values Fit – helps us to identify candidates who have similar values to Ashurst and our staff. This assessment looks at key work factors and the importance you give each one, ensuring the best cultural fit for both yourself and Ashurst.
3. Emotify – will require you to complete 2 games measuring your interpersonal skills, leadership potential and capability.

Please ensure you complete the tests within seven days of receiving these. We are unable to offer any extensions for candidates who do not complete these on time. Interview and assessment

You will be invited to our office to complete a short case study followed by an interview with a member of HR and an Associate/Senior Associate. You will also have a tour of our offices.

Offer

Vacation Scheme offers will be made to successful candidates based on your overall performance throughout the application process. 

Note

You cannot apply for both a vacation scheme and a training contract in the same recruitment window. We would ask that you only apply for one opportunity during the recruitment window. If you complete a vacation scheme with us, you will be interviewed for a training contract at the end of the scheme.
