Myfanwy Wood elected Co Chair of YIAG

    YIAG is the "Young International Arbitration Group" which is an LCIA sponsored association for younger members of the arbitration community. It is an important organisation and currently there are over 10,000 members from more than 140 countries. Myfanwy's election as Co-Chair is testament to her practice and work in the international arbitration community.

    About Myfanwy Wood

    Myfanwy Wood is a partner in the international arbitration team at Ashurst with a broad practice and particular expertise in global energy and resources disputes, including the oil and gas sector, renewables, clean energy, mining and African related disputes. She also has experience in other markets including Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Australia. Myfanwy represents a range of global clients and is successful in running large, high value and technically complex disputes. Myfanwy is listed as a "Rising Star" in the 2019 Legal 500 Arbitration Powerlist and in the 2020 and 2021 Legal 500 rankings.

    Myfanwy advises in relation to commercial arbitration, investor state arbitration, other cross-border disputes (including litigation) and public international law. Myfanwy also is experienced in class actions. Myfanwy holds a master's degree in International Law from the University of Cambridge where she was a Davis McCaughey scholar. Myfanwy is a founding member of the Working Group on LegalTech Adoption in International Arbitration which recently released the Protocol for Online Case Management in International Arbitration. Myfanwy also sits on the Case Analysis Expert Panel for Arbitration with Lexis Nexis.
