Global law firm Ashurst announces a record number of promotions with the appointment of 25 partners, effective from 1 May 2022.

"I would like to congratulate all our new partners on their promotion and welcome them to our global partnership. They are an outstanding group of lawyers with exceptional talent, skill and experience, who embody the collaborative and inclusive culture that is at the heart of our firm," said Global Chair Karen Davies. "This is the largest ever cohort of new partners in our history, reflecting our continued commitment to invest in the future of our global firm and our people, and demonstrating the confidence we have about the growth opportunities that lie ahead. Their appointment is a testament to their leadership and the critical contribution they have made to our clients and the firm."

They also underline the strength and depth of the talent at the firm, and will have a positive impact for the firm's clients."

Pointing to the broader market and the ongoing growth of the firm following the pandemic, Global Chief Executive Officer Paul Jenkins congratulated the new partners, noting that the partner promotions support expansion in key areas of significant client and market demand. "The fact that the largest proportion of partner promotions are within our Corporate and Finance, Funds & Restructuring practices (56%) reflects the significant demand we are seeing from our clients, and the ongoing strength of the transactional market. Our new partners have each made a vital contribution to the success of the firm’s clients and I congratulate them all on achieving this important career milestone."

"We are also very pleased that with this latest round, the firm has promoted a total of 80 women to the partnership since 2014, representing almost 50% of all promotions."
