Ashurst advises Panattoni on the sale of City Dock Mannheim Süd to Quantum
Ashurst advised Panattoni on the sale of City Dock Mannheim Süd to Quantum Immobilien KVG. The acquisition was made for the newly launched Quantum Light Industrial II fund and marks the fund's first purchase.
Completed in 2024, the modern and functional property has a usable area of around 10,700 m², including approximately 6,000 m² of hall space, approximately 2,300 m² of office space and approximately 2,400 m² of flexible space. All eight units, spread across two buildings, will be used in the long term by beegy GmbH, an energy solutions provider, as its new corporate headquarters. The business park is centrally located in Mannheim with excellent connections to the Frankfurt Rhine-Main, Rhine-Neckar and Stuttgart metropolitan regions.
The Quantum Light Industrial II fund continues the successful strategy of its predecessor, Quantum Light Industrial I, which has been investing since 2020, namely to acquire light industrial and logistics properties in established locations close to cities and to expand the portfolio in growth centres. Linklaters LLP (legal) and Arcadis Germany GmbH (technical) acted as advisors to the buyer.
The Ashurst team was led by partner Dr Liane Muschter. She was supported by counsel Christopher Jeschor, associate Achim Weimer and transaction lawyer Ibrahim Ünal (all Real Estate, all Frankfurt). Tax issues were covered by Tino Duttiné (partner) and Miriam Staatz (counsel).
