Global law firm Ashurst has advised Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) as arranger and original lender on senior secured loan facilities provided to Pure Data Centres Group in relation to its hyperscale data centre projects in Amsterdam and Dublin.

Construction of the Amsterdam campus is scheduled to begin in January 2026 and will require investment in excess of €1 billion. A leading global technology provider has agreed to pre-let the entire campus, which will have a capacity of 78 MW, making it the largest data centre in Amsterdam. Pure's 54 MW Dublin campus has been operational since 2024 and is now being expanded.

The team was led by partner Antony Skinner, supported by senior associate Anthony Gray, solicitor Abu-Bakr Samad and trainee George Simmons.
