Global law firm Ashurst has advised the British Business Bank on its £40 million investment in Quantum Motion as part of a $160 million Series C funding round, enabling Quantum Motion to deliver on its vision of building scalable, commercially useful quantum computers.

Founded in 2017, Quantum Motion is a leader in silicon-based quantum computing.

The British Business Bank previously backed Quantum Motion by making a £5m investment as part of its Series B in 2023. The investment also builds on the British Business Bank's partnership with the National Security Strategic Investment Fund, who first backed the company in 2020.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Jacob Gold and senior associates Dillon Fuzi and Calum Thornton.
