Supporting refugees to find meaningful employment

Refugees face a variety of barriers to employment, such as language barriers and cultural differences. We work in partnership with non-profit organisations to help refugees find meaningful employment and we run several programmes globally.

Partnerships

In the UK, we are proud to partner with Breaking Barriers, a non-profit organisation empowering people of a refugee background across the UK to acquire the knowledge, confidence and experience they need to secure stable and fulfilling employment.

Our volunteers play a vital role in helping deliver Breaking Barriers' work by providing employment support services, such as employment advice and guidance, skills sessions and workshops, language and interpreting assistance and sector-specific support.

We are also a member of Breaking Barrier's Business Behind Refugees, a movement of businesses united and committed to improving the lives of refugees in the UK through meaningful employment.

We were delighted to receive the below feedback from a client following an interview skills workshop:

"The workshop was extremely useful and insightful as it helped me understand how to make a great impression in an interview. The mock interview I did with volunteers from Ashurst developed my interview skills and boosted my confidence."
