Vidhi Mahajan is a senior associate in the London financial regulation practice. She advises a wide range of clients on all aspects of financial regulation
Vidhi regularly advises clients on the regulatory requirements applicable to solo and dual regulated firms, and has significant experience in preparing various regulatory applications (including authorisation applications, variation of permissions and change in control).
Her experience includes providing clients with advice and guidance on compliance with UK rules and legislation including the FCA Handbook, MiFID II, AIFMD, anti-money laundering rules, the consumer credit and mortgage regimes, the FCA's client money regime, the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) and the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
Vidhi has experience in managing elements of large scale regulatory projects, including Brexit preparedness projects and has developed particular expertise in advising clients on Brexit onshoring matters. She advises clients on the regulatory elements of commercial arrangements, including referral agreements, distribution agreements, investment management agreements and commercial deals. Vidhi has extensive experience in advising on regulatory outsourcing arrangements, with a focus on ensuring agreements are compliant with relevant UK an EU rules and standards, including the EBA guidelines.
Vidhi previously worked at the Australian financial services regulator, and is able to draw on this experience when advising clients.
