Victoria Varela is an associate in our corporate crime and investigations practice
Victoria advises corporations and their board members and directors in all areas of white-collar crime and compliance, with a particular focus on international sanctions, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing. She also assists major companies in conducting internal investigations, both in France and internationally.
Her expertise also extends to commercial and corporate litigation, including disputes between shareholder, minority shareholder disputes, company valuation disputes and claims involving directors.
Victoria is a member of the Paris Bar and is fluent in both English and French.
Prior to joining Ashurst, Victoria worked in a number of leading international law firms in France and abroad. She holds a Master 2 in International Business Law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and a Master in Comparative International Law from the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh.
