Steven Vaz is a partner in our Antitrust, Regulation and Foreign Investment practice
Steven specialises in EU and UK competition law, being admitted to practice in both England & Wales and Ireland, advising clients in a range of industries on merger control and FDI control, cartels, abuse of dominance, market investigations and competition litigation.
He regularly manages merger control and FDI dearances for high value and complex multi-jurisdictional mergers, including public company takeovers. He has advised on several of the largest antitrust investigations and appeals in the UK and EU.
Steven is a co-editor of the ICLG Merger Control guide. He was also a contributing author to UK Merger Control Law and Practice. He is also co-author of Butterworths EU and UK Cartels. He is ranked by Legal 500 as a Next Generation Partner (EU and Competition) - "he is noted by clients as a rising force". In 2020 he was recognised as a Future Star (Competition and Antitrust) by Financier Worldwide.
