Stephen Woodbury is a partner in our employment practice
Stephen is the global practice head of the Ashurst employment group. He provides advice to clients in employment, industrial relations, EEO and anti-discrimination law.
Stephen has over 25 years' experience in assisting clients in managing executive employment issues (including post-employment restraint matters), corporate restructuring and outsourcing programmes.
He advises clients in all aspects of enterprise bargaining and provides representation and support in industrial disputes and in the management of employee grievances and disciplinary issues. He is also experienced in conducting litigation involving breach of contract and independent contractor claims and adverse action, unfair and unlawful dismissal claims.
Stephen works with a range of blue chip corporate clients in industries including financial services, insurance, transport, resources, food, manufacturing and IT and telecommunications.
He provides strategic employment advice in connection with corporate transactions, outsourcings, privatisations and mergers and acquisitions, including transactions involving multiple jurisdictions and clients based overseas.
Stephen also appears as an advocate in industrial tribunals and courts and speaks regularly at seminars and conference on topics related to employment law.
