Sid has over 25 years of experience in organisational and technology transformation, and cybersecurity risk. As the former Global Cyber and Strategic Risk Leader at a 'Big Four' professional services firm, he has delivered high-quality, practical, and innovative solutions to C-Suite clients across various industries and sectors. He now applies that knowledge in a hands-on, operational context, leveraging management consulting experience across South Africa, the United States and Australia to the benefit of Ashurst. In his current role, he leads the transformation of all business services functions, ensuring they deliver value to the organisation, efficiently and serves on the Global Executive Team.
Sid focuses on delivering cyber and technology risk services to clients, working across various industries in the private sector and several agencies in government and for almost 25 years, across multiple continents. During his professional career, he has helped clients manage cyber incidents, including ransomware attacks. Sid has worked closely with the Australian Commonwealth Government and has delivered on large, complex, multi-year risk transformation programs including helping clients secure information and data, performing cyber security accreditation and reviews against the Essential 8 baseline mitigation strategies recommended for organisations, to driving the strategic risk agenda and leading complex IT Project Assurance engagements. He brings both consulting and practical in-house experience to bear at our clients.
His Transformation team includes the global technology function, an Enterprise Project Management Office (responsible for the execution of strategic projects and initiatives) and an Advisory team responsible for the design and execution of the transformation to support the delivery of the firm's Strategy. Sid also helps drive efficiency and innovation at Ashurst, where he works collaboratively with the C-Suite and broader partnership.
