Shojeeb Alam

Shojeeb ("Sho") practices in the area of M&A and joint ventures, acting primarily for Japanese clients investing in Australia. Sho has experience advising on cross border M&A across a diverse range of industries including insurance, transport and infrastructure, food products, carbon projects, mining and resources, renewables, automotive, logistics, technology, consumer goods and real estate. Sho also regularly advises on capital raise transactions and M&A involving Australian high growth technology companies, including advising VC funds, CVCs and startup companies, and on Australia's foreign investment framework (including compliance and reporting), directors' duties, Corporations Act requirements and corporate governance. 

Sho has undertaken a client secondment to the in-house legal department of a major Japanese trading house in Tokyo, which has provided him with a deeper understanding of Japanese business culture and the internal processes of Japanese organisations. Sho is also fluent in Japanese.
