Ruth Harris is a partner in our real estate finance practice

Ruth specialises in real estate investment, development and structured finance across a wide range of asset classes including: offices, retail, residential, leisure, and industrial properties.

Ruth has considerable expertise acting for lenders on their origination of senior and junior debt (including multi-layered intercreditor arrangements) and on alternative syndication strategies. She is also experienced in acting for investors in real estate in relation to their debt requirements (including development finance). Having also advised fixed charge receivers and lenders in relation to work out strategies, restructuring and enforcement processes; and owners of and investors in distressed real estate debt and assets, Ruth applies a commercial and pragmatic approach to transactions, being able to focus on what really matters.
