Ruimin Gao is an Australian-based lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in commercial and government sectors. She has practised as a lawyer in Australia (Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra), the United Kingdom (London) and Mainland China (Beijing).
Ruimin has experience advising and representing corporations, States and State-owned entities in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations under major arbitration rules. She has acted in complex, high-value disputes in a broad range of sectors including in energy and resources, mining, construction, real estate and transport.
Ruimin has also represented clients in litigation proceedings in Australia before the State and Federal Courts and the High Court of Australia, in areas of commercial and trade practices law, government and administrative law, planning and environment law, and criminal law.
Ruimin holds a Master of Laws in international law from the Australian National University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws with honours from The University of Queensland. She speaks English and Chinese (Mandarin).
