Rachel Macdonald is a counsel in our dispute resolution practice
Rachel practises primarily in litigation and dispute resolution with an emphasis on resolving disputes in the infrastructure, construction, transport and resources sectors.
She specialises in providing strategic commercial advice during projects, particularly in relation to claims under the security of payment legislation. Rachel has successfully pursued and defended numerous multi-million dollar claims under the security of payment legislation in NSW and Queensland.
Rachel is regularly advising clients on a range of different contractual disputes in connection with various major infrastructure and construction projects. These disputes have involved different forms of contract including alliance contracts, design contracts, design and construct contracts, subcontracts, consultancy contracts and managing contractor contracts. She also acted for clients in a range of alternative dispute resolution forums such as mediation, expert determination and arbitration.
