Rachel Daniel is a counsel in our projects practice

​Rachel is an environment and planning lawyer with experience in the full spectrum of environment and planning law, with specialisation in land acquisition, State and federal planning approvals, pollution, contaminated land, roads, transport administration, local government, water, mining and administrative law. She has acted for a wide range of clients including corporations, developers, individuals and community groups.

Rachel's core work involves transport infrastructure projects. She has worked closely with various acquisition authorities to acquire land by agreement and by compulsory acquisition, and has defended numerous associated compensation appeals. She also provides legal advice regarding appropriate planning approval pathways and planning approval documentation.

Rachel has successfully had carriage of a wide range of litigation in the Land and Environment Court of NSW and appellate Courts, including appeals concerning the amount of compensation payable for the compulsory acquisition of land, judicial review proceedings and merits review proceedings.
