Dr Philipp Scheibenpflug is a counsel in our dispute resolution practice in Frankfurt
Philipp advises and represents clients in domestic and cross-border disputes before state courts as well as in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. His practice focuses on mass litigation, post-M&A disputes, and securities and corporate litigation.
He studied law at the Universities of Passau and Frankfurt am Main, where he obtained his doctorate (Dr. iur.) and at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned an LL.M. He was admitted to the German bar in November 2016 and to the New York Bar in June 2017.
Philipp began his professional career in October 2016 in the dispute resolution department of a major German law firm, where he worked for nearly eight years and was promoted to counsel in 2024. In 2022, he was seconded for six months to Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City, where he primarily worked on the defense of a U.S. securities class action.
He joined Ashurst in February 2026.
