Paul Jenkins is Ashurst's Global Chief Executive Officer and is based in Sydney and London
Paul leads the firm's Executive Team and is a member of the firm's Board. He has been a partner since 2006.
Paul led the firm's global Finance Division prior to his appointment as the firm's global CEO in 2016. In late 2022, Paul was reappointed global CEO for a further four-year term.
Under Paul's leadership Ashurst has experienced significant growth, with an average revenue growth of more than 8% each year over the last eight years. This has been achieved through setting a clear vision and strategic direction for the firm, disciplined implementation, and by taking an approach which differentiates Ashurst for both its clients and people.
Paul has consistently promoted the benefits of collaboration, innovation and inclusion at the firm.
In 2024, Ashurst became the first global law firm to roll out Harvey, an AI solution designed for the legal and professional services sector, across its 31 offices — underscoring the firm’s commitment to staying at the forefront of digital transformation in the legal industry. The firm won the FT's "Most Innovative Law Firm in APAC (headquartered outside APAC)" in 2024 and 2025. Paul was the first law firm leader to join the Champions of Change Coalition, which works with prominent CEOs and other leaders from the business community to promote equal opportunity and gender equality in their workplaces.
Paul joined the firm as a graduate and is a qualified solicitor in NSW, England and Wales, and has practised as a finance lawyer in London, Tokyo and Sydney. Paul's successful legal practice has encompassed banking, corporate finance, debt capital markets and securitisation.
