Maria-Laure is a Risk Advisory director with 20+ years' experience advising corporates and investors on integrity risk, compliance and sustainability. Maria-Laure leads the Ashurst Sustainability and Climate Change team for the UK market and supports clients with effective sustainability programme uplift and implementation, ESG Due Diligence, sustainable supply chains and net zero transition planning. She has considerable experience in emerging markets, including in sub-Saharan Africa.
Maria-Laure is a qualified lawyer and a member of the Law Society of England and Wales. She has been accredited in ESG Investing by the CFA, and has completed the Certificate in Sustainable Finance from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
She runs seminars on sustainable third party risk management and due diligence.
Maria-Laure has been ranked in Bands 1 and 2 of Chambers and Partners for 3 consecutive years as a leading expert in ESG and Sustainability in the Crisis and Risk Management category.
