Marcus Leung-Johansen

 Marcus is a Director with Ashurst Risk Advisory. He is an experienced risk, regulation and compliance professional, advising boards and senior executives of global financial services organisations.

With extensive expertise in credit and financial services regulations, risk and controls, Marcus advises financial services organisations in managing regulatory risk, as well as supporting clients in responding to regulatory investigation, enforcement action and remediation.

Prior to joining Ashurst Risk Advisory, Marcus spent over 15 years in a Big 4 professional services firm and industry in Australia. During this time, he helped clients with risk management and controls monitoring, appointed as an Independent Expert on numerous regulatory investigation and enforcement matters, supported clients with regulatory compliance and remediation, as well as worked in industry relating to finance and tax accounting.

Marcus has a deep understanding of the banking and financial services risk and regulation landscape and is passionate about managing risk in a strategic and pragmatic way to protect consumers from harm.
