Lyudmyla Bashynska is a Senior Associate in the Antitrust, Regulatory and Trad practice in London providing legal advice and analysis in a broad range of competition matters including mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investments and national security, market studies and investigations, consumer protection and regulatory issues.
Lyudmyla has experience advising clients on matters before the European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and UK sectoral regulators. Her particular expertise is in the energy regulation matters, digital economy and consumer protection issues. Lyudmyla is an affiliate member of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI).
Lyudmyla spent nine months on secondment to the CMA where she worked in the Policy and International team. This team (and her role within it) provides guidance to the CMA’s leadership on the overall approach to a broad range of legal and policy issues across all areas of merger control, antitrust, and consumer protection. In addition, the team provides recommendations to the UK government as to the functioning of domestic markets and facilitates compliance with competition law by issuing guidelines for market participants and consumers.
