Laura has a broad contentious financial services and financial crime practice. She has acted for a number of financial institutions in relation to internal, regulatory and whistleblowing investigations. Laura also has particular experience in representing individuals in regulatory investigations.
Laura’s experience includes:
• Assisting John Swift KC, on an independent review commissioned by the FCA in relation to the FCA's regulatory intervention into the sale of interest rate hedging products to SMEs.
• Conducting internal investigations for various financial institutions and large corporates following whistleblower allegations.
• Representing senior individuals in FCA, PRA and SFO investigations.
• Advising financial institutions in preparing for and responding to s.166 FSMA skilled person reviews.
• Advising financial services firms on complex contractual disputes.
Laura is described by The Legal 500 as "hard working, tactically sound and a talented lawyer."
