Krista Payne

Krista is a partner in the projects & energy transition division based in Sydney.

She is an advisor to Government and private sector clients and acts on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects and development transactions, with experience acting on major projects in both the UK and Australian and wider Asia-Pacific markets. Krista advises on project delivery models and procurement strategies and develops and negotiates project documentation for complex infrastructure projects (including major project documents, procurement documentation, construction contracts, development agreements, major property divestment contracts, services agreements and government development transactions).

Krista has worked on projects across a number of industry sectors including rail, light rail, roads, aviation, telecommunications, waste to energy, commercial building and utilities, and has worked with a range of contract delivery methods. She advises on tender processes, the administration of contracts and consultancy services.

Krista completed a secondment to the Ashurst London office from 2014 to 2017 where she worked on major projects such as the £4bn Thames Tideway Tunnel and the Silvertown Tunnel PPP. She is currently advising the New Zealand Transport Agency on the Northland Corridor Programme and TfNSW on the AUD$14bn Western Harbour Tunnel.
